Agar.io is a ton of fun because the game is so random and most people don’t know how to play it. Basically you are this huge dot that moves around on the screen trying to consume your opponents, who are also dots. You get stronger and stronger as you eat other players, but you also get slower. During the course of the game you can use special techniques where you split yourself up in order to make a dashing attempt to swallow a player. This does not always work well however.
As you get stronger and bigger you get very slow which makes it quite difficult to pursue other players to kill them. When someone is defeated, they are temporarily removed from the game however they can return fairly quickly. They are very small but fast and can eat a lot in order to grow stronger pretty quickly. It’s easy to escape the super huge balls moving around the screen when you are tiny, but as you grow it becomes more difficult. Also, you never want to get trapped in a corner or it will be too hard to escape.
Many people use strange avatars and characters when they sign in, some of which are programmed directly into the game such as country flags. If you put your name as a country, your player marker will actually turn into the flag. This seems to be the case for pretty much every country in existence although there are probably some where it doesn’t work.
In order to get good at this game you need to waste a tremendous amount of time. Plus it is boring and repetitive to play that often so you are better off just playing it to kill time. But even if you are killing time, you could be doing much better things with you life, of course.
